This site is an organism that fits itself into a complex and layered reality because of it’s primary function. Transit. It is an aid, it is a shelter, it is a place that has been folded to act as a conduit for everyday life. Yet within this seemingly mundane space lies a potential to be so much more. This more that is referred to is the response to the array of components and mechanisms involved in ‘creating’ the life that the site inhabits. This series of interventions is an evocation of these components.

After having explored a variety of disciplines, Mishaal now looks at combining knowledge from all these fields into his artistic practice. As his practice deals majorly with relooking at media through a new lens, it also deals with a sense of immersion. Mishaal looks to keenly explore the roles of the observer, the artwork and the artist as they intersect and generate new meaning.
Approaching everything with the same curiosity and drive to experiment and break definitions, Mishaal believes in the principle that a simple form can speak volumes for a intricate context.
I went about exploring different mediums which dealt with interactivity and engagement. The process was a trial and error based method of working to adhere to two parts of my context and practice: The immersion of the observer and the relevance of approach with that medium. Each intervention deals with a subset of the larger context, but reached a point of partial completion when experimenting with form.
