The project aims to aid the perception of this truly underground space by creating dropdown orifices from the ceiling walls of the metro. Inspired by the natural ecosystems around Abishek Daniel crates openings to view the natural ecosystems underground. This project is a comment on the displacement of these systems and creatures as a result of the metro’s construction.
Striking a balance between the natural and the man made world is something Abishek is always looking for while dealing with day to day things. This stems from his ardent love for everything natural and also an understanding of materials that he has developed over the years. Having experimented and worked intensively on a variety of things ranging from kinetic e waste sculptures to creating terrariums, Abishek is always looking for new ways to utilise any material he comes across; and it is this need to create that has fuelled his passion over the years.
